Frequently Asked Questions
At BTP, you will have the pleasure of working one-on-one throughout your entire treatment plan with Dr. Mike. This allows for one person to oversee your case from the minute you schedule your first appointment all the way through your discharge visit. Dr. Mike has meticulously crafted his treatment model over the years to focus on the most advanced soft tissue treatment, coupled with therapeutic rehab, to improve function in a timely fashion. The traditional chiropractic experience sometimes involves habitual care in the form of weekly visits for an undefined time. At BTP, Dr. Mike’s main goal is focused on getting results quickly, so treatment plans are timeboxed to a few visits for treating that specific injury. Additionally, Dr. Mike’s appointment times are 45 to 60 minutes long, which differs from a typical chiropractic visit, which lasts less than 20 minutes. At BTP, we believe this allows for faster results and an overall better experience.
Dr. Mike considers it a “win” when you enter a treatment plan, results are achieved, a goal is met, and you have the tools to maintain those results after the treatments and you do not have to rely on Dr. Mike in the future for that same condition. He is always happy and willing to see you in the office for the same condition or a new condition, but a patient who is educated on handling their health and well-being is a much happier patient and the doctor is too.
Every patient and every injury is different, but most patients at Break Through Pain average just 3–4 visits.
Our goal isn't to keep you coming back indefinitely. We focus on identifying the cause of your problem, treating it effectively, and giving you the tools and knowledge you need to stay better on your own.
Dr. Mike, with extensive experience in the Cincinnati area, has carefully evaluated a multitude of "up-stream" medical options for musculoskeletal conditions. If your condition does not demonstrate meaningful progress after 4 to 6 visits, Dr. Mike will thoughtfully transition your case to a physician within his network of trusted specialists for a second opinion or for a more targeted assessment.
